On May 20, the Department of International Relations, together with the Faculty of History, held a round table "African Horizon of Ukraine", dedicated to the role of Africa in the modern world and the prospects for Ukrainian-African partnership.

The participants discussed:
- the place of African states in global political processes;
- opportunities for cooperation between Ukraine and the countries of the continent in the educational, scientific, cultural and humanitarian spheres;
- the importance of cultural diplomacy and academic exchanges for the development of intercultural dialogue.

The discussion was joined by teachers, students and researchers of DNU. Particular attention was paid to the historical aspects of decolonization, the educational systems of African countries, the instruments of "soft power" of Ukraine and the prospects for political and economic partnership.

The event confirmed that universities are not only educational centers, but also important platforms for public diplomacy, contributing to mutual understanding between peoples and the development of international cooperation.
