What is the Student Council of DNU?
In its activities, the Student Council of DNU. O. Honchar is guided by the Regulations on Student Self-Government. Thus, student self-government is carried out at the level of the student group, faculty, dormitory, university, as well as implemented at the level of the course, specialty, campus, structural units of DNU.
The highest body of student government is the Conference of Students of DNU. O. Honchar, who:
adopts the Regulations on student self-government;
determines the structure, powers and procedure for electing executive bodies of student self-government;
elects the executive bodies of student self-government and listens to their reports.
The main tasks of student self-government bodies at DNU are to protect the rights and interests of students, ensure that students fulfill their responsibilities, promote educational, scientific and creative activities of students, promote the creation of appropriate conditions for living and recreation of students and more.
Student Council of DNU. O. Honchara works for students, for the university, works with a clear goal: comprehensive assistance in the production of qualified personnel.

The main activities of the Council
The task of the Student Council is to make the life of the student youth of the university better, but under the condition that the students themselves will contribute to the realization of their aspirations. Today the main activities of the Student Council are:
- organization of students' leisure: Student's Day, Freshman's Day, Faculty Day, New Year, Valentine's Day and other holidays, concerts, parties. Every year there are such entertainment events as: "Miss and Mr. University", "Rector's Cup", "Brain Ring", KVN Festival, picnics, etc .;
- solving the problems of students living in dormitories;
- assisting students in fulfilling their rights and responsibilities;
- promotion of educational, scientific and creative activities of students;
- social work: visiting orphanages, social events;
- participation in the distribution of the scholarship fund;
- protection of rights and support of student initiatives;
- expulsion and renewal of a student to study at the university;
- transfer of a student from the budget to a contract and vice versa;
- appointment of the Deputy Dean, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, etc.
