On Friday, October 20, a large-scale event was held within the walls of the Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, which brought together representatives of state bodies, local government, public organizations, educational institutions, international institutions, as well as active youth of the region.

During the round table, the rector of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University Serhiy Okovity thanked the distinguished guests from France, who found the opportunity to join online, as well as the faculty and students, who are taking significant steps to deepen cooperation with international partners.

“A memorandum of cooperation between our regions was recently signed. The Dnipropetrovsk region is thus expanding regional cooperation and deepening ties with France. Now we will exchange best practices in the field of economics, education, healthcare, social protection, ecology and innovation with our French colleagues. This is very important support for us during the war, and it will be the same after our victory,” said Serhiy Okovity.

During the event, those present discussed modern challenges and prospects for cooperation between Ukraine and France, and paid special attention to interaction in the field of education. Those gathered listened to informative speeches from foreign colleagues, and also presented their own vision of further cooperation at all levels.

Students of our faculty joined the discussion of a wide range of issues. In particular, the important topic of political culture and social transformation in France was raised by a student of the Department of International Relations Anastasia Bilan.
